DENVER - After a thrilling Game 2, the Denver Nuggets have extended their win streak to 10 games and taken a commanding 2-0 lead in their first-round playoff series against the Los Angeles Lakers.
Jamal Murray was the hero for the Nuggets, hitting a step-back jumper as time expired to lift Denver to a 101-99 victory. The Nuggets trailed by 20 points in the second half but rallied behind Murray's 28 points and Nikola Jokic's 26 points and 11 rebounds.
The Lakers were led by Anthony Davis, who had 31 points and 12 rebounds. LeBron James added 26 points and 11 assists, but it wasn't enough to overcome Denver's late surge.
The Nuggets will now head to Los Angeles for Games 3 and 4 of the series. Game 3 is scheduled for Thursday night at Staples Center.
