Tennessee Legalizes Sunday Alcohol Sales
2018 Law Change Allows Sale of Beer, Wine, and Spirits
Tennesseans Can Now Purchase Alcohol on Sundays
In a landmark decision, Tennessee has authorized the sale of alcoholic beverages and wine on Sundays beginning in 2018. This law change also makes it legal for Tennesseans to purchase alcohol from grocery and convenience stores, expanding the availability of alcoholic beverages across the state.
Previously, alcohol sales in Tennessee were restricted to certain hours and days of the week. The new law allows for the sale of beer, wine, and spirits on Sundays from 10:00 AM to 11:00 PM. This change is expected to boost tourism and provide more convenience to residents.
The Tennessee Alcoholic Beverage Commission (TABC) has been tasked with implementing the new law and ensuring compliance. TABC officials have stated that they will be working with retailers to ensure that alcohol sales are conducted responsibly and in accordance with the law.
